Thanks for the kind words! Decor is going to happen in here soon, but I’m afraid that unpacking has gotten the better of me, haha.

I totally agree with you, too, about increasing productivity. When everything feels right, there’s almost a synergy effect you couldn’t bottle or buy if you wanted to.

That sounds like my type of workspace though I would have a few additions. I love a workspace that’s functional and organised. Also it has been generously piled with the decor and things I love. I’m a very visually motivate person and the old office works desk just won’t cut it for me.

I know I’m picky but I know that when I have my workspace the way I love it, I’ll turn out to be just that much more productive.

Really liking your blog so far by the way. :)

Hey, Sketching Girl! I’m glad hear I’m not the only one who needs to buckle down to a schedule – keeping up with a blog can be really daunting. I think as long as we just keep going, it will get more natural in time, you know? It’s all part of the learning process. :)

Hi Josh, I too am trying a writing schedule, I intend to post once a week, every Saturday. I am giving myself a week to come up with something to post about writing. Although I can post extra in between. It’s just to try to get me to post more often and not just samples of my writing, that I feared other writers might not want to read! I do like reading other writers posts about writing, especially as I am trying to learn the craft as I go. But you are right, adding something personal about you also make it more interesting!

The Instant Support Group has always been my favorite part of NaNoWriMo and always the most surprising. Having gotten used to the solitary nature of writing, to log on to the NaNo site and find that everyone in the forums is going through the exact same troubles I am at the exact same time I am is a strange and not entirely unpleasant experience.

Haha, I did it backwards: I got interested in the technology first, and then I slowly got sucked into Victorian fashion. I read for days and days about clothing and attire and the simple logistics of putting on a gown in order to actually make my WIP work, but it was a blast. I need a good excuse to dress up like a Victorian gentleman sometime.

Julie: Thanks for the mention on Twitter! Your post really got me thinking about this, so I couldn’t help but extend my commentary here. I think a lot of unpublished writers worry about letting ourselves get fenced in, so this has been a nice reminder that we should be working quite toward the opposite. Relief for both of us!
